Fold Mining Club

Fold revolutionized personal finance, making it easy to integrate Bitcoin into your daily life. Today we’re proud to announce the next leap forward—an official mining division.

In collaboration with CryptoCloaks, we invite you to join the Fold Mining Club, a celebration of open-source home mining.

Starting today, the Fold Mining Club Bitaxe bundle is available in the CryptoCloaks store ($279.99). It includes:

  • A Bitaxe GAMMA 601 ASIC Solo Miner
  • A Limited Edition Fold Mining Club Case
  • One Year Fold+ Subscription*
  • One Year of Electricity Covered by Fold**
See Batch 7 updates below 👇

With the goal of 100 solo miners coming online, the Fold Mining Club is targeting an additional 0.00006 EH/s to the total hashrate. Meaning, participating club members will be contributing approximately one eleven-millionth of the network security with unprofitable, decentralized home mining.

Watch out industrial miners, the plebs are coming for you!

In all seriousness, the Bitaxe project is awesome and a Fold Mining Club ASIC would look cool on your desk. So let’s talk about it.

A Movement

“The Bitaxe is a very low barrier to entry towards trying out Bitcoin mining.” — Skot, Instigator of the Bitaxe Bitcoin ASIC miner.

The Bitaxe project has taken the Bitcoin world by storm. It sparks joy with the plebs. Why?

In short, it’s a fun hobby project. And it’s open source. You can set it up and let it run as a solo 'lottery miner,' use it to learn the fundamentals of home mining, or even add your own creative twists to the project.

With industrial ASIC setups out of reach for the average pleb, the Bitaxe fills the gap, bringing the spirit of play and innovation to residential mining.

Plug And Pay

It’s not an exaggeration to say that Bitaxe has made home mining accessible for anyone. Once your Bitaxe arrives, it’s nearly plug and play to start hashing:

  • Plug the power supply into a regular outlet and connect your Bitaxe.
  • Find the Bitaxe WiFi network on your phone or computer and connect to it.
  • Enter your home WiFi credentials to link Bitaxe to your network.
  • For solo “lottery mining,” the default setup is at CK Pool. Simply change the Bitcoin payout address to any address you control.
  • If you prefer to join a pool, you can connect to Braiins Pool for Lightning payouts and watch sats trickle in.

One Year of Electricity Covered by Fold

Electrical cost of a Bitaxe is roughly $2/mo. If you participate in the Fold Mining Club, we’ll send you $24 to cover an entire year of running your Bitaxe**. To claim:

  • Purchase and set up your Fold Bitaxe.
  • Post your hashrate and a photo of your Fold Bitaxe setup on X (Twitter).
  • Tag @Fold_App and include your referral link in the post.

Once we see your post, we’ll credit your Bitcoin rewards to cover the electricity costs for the year!

Happy hashing!
