What Fold actually does for your money
Fold is a money app built around one idea: the things you're already doing, spending, saving, paying bills, can also earn bitcoin. Here's the plain version of what it actually does, no jargon required.
The high level version
- Fold is a money app. Everything you already do when it comes to spending, or paying bills, earns bitcoin.
- You don't need to understand bitcoin to benefit from it. You just need to spend the way you already do.
Earn on what you're already spending
- The Fold cards earn bitcoin on eligible everyday purchases, groceries, gas, bills, and more.
- That's not a bonus tacked onto a card you already had. It's the whole point of our card offerings.
- You can boost your earning rate further by setting up recurring bitcoin purchases or paying your credit card* statement with bitcoin already in your Fold account.
Buy bitcoin without the usual overhead
- If you already buy bitcoin somewhere else, Fold is built to be one of the cheaper places to do it.
- Set it up once as a recurring purchase using Auto-Stack and it happens automatically. No need to time the market or check a chart every day.
Turn gift cards into bitcoin
- Buy gift cards for stores and restaurants you already use, and those purchases earn bitcoin back too.
- Want to give bitcoin to someone who's curious about it? Fold's bitcoin gift cards let you gift bitcoin directly, no wallet setup required on their end.
Bitcoin back on your bills too
- Most rewards programs stop at your card. Fold extends into bill pay, so recurring payments you're making anyway can also earn.
- The idea is simple, the things you're already paying for shouldn't be dead weight. They should be doing something.
You don't have to "believe" in bitcoin to use Fold
- You don't need a wallet you understand, a strong opinion on where the price is headed, or any interest in the white paper that started it all.
- You just keep spending the way you already do. The app handles the rest.
If any of this sounds like something you'd use, signing up takes about three minutes.
