What shipped at Fold this month

February was a big month for the Fold product team. We launched the new Fold app experience on February 4, and we have been shipping improvements every week since. Here is a look at what is live now and what it means for you.

The new Fold app is here

The new Fold app brings your rewards, spending, and account activity into one place. It is built to be your financial home for earning, saving, and spending bitcoin. Version 200.15.0 is now live, and we have shipped over 300 improvements since the initial release.

What is new in this update

Smoother bitcoin moves

We fixed a bug that blocked some people from selling their full bitcoin balance using the Max button. Tap Max, confirm, done. We also added QR code scanning so you can grab a wallet address instantly when sending bitcoin, no typing required.

Balance privacy

You can now hide your account balances across the entire app. Long-press any balance to quickly hide or show your funds, or toggle Hide balances permanently from Settings > Security. Your money, your business.

Additional refinements

Denomination preferences. The app now remembers whether you prefer to see your balance in bitcoin or sats. Set it once, and it sticks.

Your card number, right in the app. Your full card number is now accessible in the app. Checkout, subscriptions, and activation are all one tap away.

Linked bank balances. You can now view the cash balance of your linked bank accounts directly in the app. Everything in one place.

100+ bugs squashed this cycle

Beyond new features, we have been reading every piece of feedback since the Fold 2.0 launch. This cycle alone we fixed over 100 customer-facing issues to make the app faster, more stable, and more predictable. We are dedicated to shipping these kinds of improvements every cycle.

What is next

We will keep shipping improvements every cycle and keep you in the loop with this monthly update. The foundation we are building now supports everything coming next, including future products like the Fold Bitcoin Credit Card.

Thanks for using Fold. Your feedback shapes what we build next.
